Privacy Policy
We don't collect anything.
Last updated: July 13, 2026
FletchShot is a Mac app for taking, annotating, and handing off screenshots. Privacy is not a feature we bolted on — it is a design decision baked into the app's specification.
What we collect
Nothing. FletchShot does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, usage data, screenshots, recordings, or any other information on any server. The app makes zero network calls.
Where your data lives
Screenshots, recordings, capture history, and settings are stored only on your Mac — inside the app's sandbox and in folders you choose. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or shared automatically.
OCR (text extraction)
Text extraction runs entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Images are never sent to any external service.
Purchases
The 14-day Trial and Full Unlock in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. FletchShot does not receive your Apple ID, name, email address, or payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs those transactions.
Analytics and tracking
None. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter that leaves the device, no advertising identifier, and no third-party tracking.
Children
FletchShot does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update the date at the top and note the change here. As long as this page says "we don't collect anything," it means exactly that.
